This operation was carried out in partnership with the company Geosys which ensured the processing of the data and their formatting while we carried out the field surveys.
At that time (1995), LIDAR was still in its infancy and could not be used. We made the survey by squaring the area with the GPS antenna fixed on the roof of a 4 × 4, with a mesh of about 20 meters. We were using a Trimble single frequency receiver (4000 ST) and worked in PPK mode.
As part of this study, three sectors were identified: the Douve Valley (4,800 ha), the Taute Valley (4,000 ha) and the Aure Valley (2,200 ha). It took us several weeks.
