The distance separating the two cities is, by the track, approximately 175 km. The construction of a paved road at the site of this track was financed by the African Development Bank and the Republic of Cameroon.
The site was divided into 2 lots, of equivalent length. The southern part was carried out by the French company Dragages et Travaux Publics, now Bouygues – Travaux Publics , filiale du groupe Bouyghes Construction and the northern part by the Portuguese company Zagope, a subsidiary of the Brazilian group Andrade Gutierrez.
We were commissioned successively by the 2 companies to set up a total of one hundred vertices constituting the main traverse of the site, or about one vertice every 2 km.
