Installation instructions

Important notes

The first time you run the installer, Windows may display the blue “Windows protected your PC” screen. This message appears for any software that is not yet widely distributed and does not indicate a problem with the file. Click More info, then Run anyway.

The installer automatically adds its folder to the PATH, so that TopoSat_Rinex_Editor_cli.exe (for command-line use) can be called from any folder.

Installation

The software can be installed with or without administrator rights and runs on Windows 10 and 11 (earlier versions of Windows have not been tested).

  1. Unzip the “TopoSat_Rinex_Editor_(version)_Setup.zip” archive into the folder of your choice and double-click the “TopoSat_Rinex_Editor_(version)_Setup.exe” file.

  2. Choose the installation mode: the program can be installed

    1. With administrator rights:

      1. For all users, in which case the installation folder is C:\Program Files\TopoSat\TopoSat Rinex Editor.
      2. For the current user, in which case the installation folder is C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Programs\TopoSat\TopoSat Rinex Editor.

    2. Without administrator rights

      1. For the current user only, in which case the installation folder is C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Programs\TopoSat\TopoSat Rinex Editor.

  3. Choose the language of the installer.

    Note: the program may run in a language different from the one chosen for the installer.

  4. Accept the terms of the license agreement.

  5. Confirm or change the installation folder.

  6. Create a shortcut on the desktop if you wish.

  7. Start the installation.

  8. Run the program at the end of the installation if you wish.
